BANDI, participating as a designer for Kolon Global consortium, has been selected as the as the qualified bidder for the detailed design of Daegu Urban Railway Line 4 (EXCO Line) Section 2 project.

The “Daegu Urban Railway Line 4 (EXCO Line) Section 2 Construction Project” aims to enhance public transportation convenience by establishing a network connecting Metro Lines 1, 2, and 3, promote the growth of the MICE-related industries in the northeastern region through improved urban rail connectivity, and contribute to balanced regional development by supplying new lines to areas previously underserved by urban rail. BANDI is in charge of the bridge design for Daegu Urban Railway Line 4 (EXCO Line) Section 2.

This project proposed the application of an PSC Box Girder as the standard bridge type, in accordance with the route plan that penetrates the urban area. To satisfy the existing intersection crossing conditions, a steel-concrete composite girder bridge with sufficient span lengths has been planned. Furthermore, considering the complex urban environment, the width of the bridge piers has been minimized, and Y-shaped piers that harmonize with the Geumho  River have been adopted to the Gumho River Bridge establishing a bridge plan that blends with the natural landscape. We look forward to continuing to drive innovation in the success of future urban railway infrastructure projects.
