Technical Assistance and Engineering Services for Anma Offshore Wind Submarine Cables

Project Overview

  • Employer Anma Offshore Wind Energy Co., Ltd. (AWC)
  • Client Taihan Cable & Solution
  • Period 2025.10 ~ 2028.12

This project aims to establish an internal power collection network to ensure the stable aggregation and transmission of electricity for the ANMA Offshore Wind Farm, located in the offshore area near Anma Island along the western coast of Jeollanam-do, Republic of Korea. Electricity generated by the offshore wind turbines will be reliably transmitted to the offshore substation through a well-designed internal collection system. To this end, rational and reliable design criteria for the wind farm’s internal collection system, namely the Inter-Array Cables (IACs), are to be established.

BANDI has carried out the design of the internal collection cables (IACs) for this project. The scope of work includes defining cable routes, layouts, and design conditions through a comprehensive consideration of offshore environmental conditions, seabed topography and geotechnical characteristics, constructability, and operational reliability. The ultimate objective is to secure the long-term operational reliability of the collection system and to contribute to the stable operation of the overall wind farm electrical network.

The general tasks to be performed under this scope are as follows:

- Definition of IAC design input conditions considering offshore environmental characteristics

- Optimization of IAC routing and configuration based on wind farm layout

- Application of cable installation and protection concepts reflecting seabed and geotechnical conditions

- Application of IAC design criteria in compliance with international standards

- Design of the collection system considering operation and maintenance requirements
