Dr. Paik is currently the Head of Technology Research Institute at BANDI, and prior to joining BANDI, Dr. Paik was the director and Head of Technology and Development Institute at DL E&C. After receiving his Ph.D. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), he joined Daelim Industries (currently DL E&C), where he mainly performed construction engineering of long-span bridges in the field during his early career, including the Seohae Bridge and Samcheonpo Bridge. Since then, he has played a successful role as a team leader in the design and construction of many bridge projects, including the Geobukseon Bridge, Sepung Bridge, Yi Sun-sin Bridge, and Angel Bridge, and has served as the site director of Yeongam and Haenam, and as the director of the technical research institute, playing many roles and capabilities to help DL E&C become one of the top companies in Korea in the bridge field. And since joining BANDI, he has been focusing on the research of next-generation bridge technologies, floating bridges and floating offshore wind power.
